To celebrate Mother’s Day we asked some of our Deja Marc mums three simple questions,
- What does being a mum mean to you?
- What is the best part about being a mum?
- What does Mother’s Day signify to you?
And here’s what they said...

What does being a mum mean to you?
Being a mum is the single most challenging and joyous role I have ever had the privilege of fulfilling. It is host of selfless actions that see you being the provider, teacher, protector, mediator and comforter; but above all else it is the wonderment of nurturing and watching your little ones grow into beautiful tiny humans knowing you played a significant part in shaping them and always hoping and wondering if you did enough.
What is the best part about being a mum?
It is the unconditional love you feel for them, and also their excitement and tiny smiling faces that greet you even when you’ve been gone for only a few minutes, that is the best.
What does Mother’s Day signify to you?
Mother’s Day for me signifies the insurmountable love my family has for me. It is the feeling of recognition and appreciation for doing all that motherhood encompasses . It is also a day of appreciating and celebrating my own mum (Nanna) and being grateful for having such a strong and loving role model for both myself and my boys

What does being a mum mean to you?
Being a mum to me means having a direct hand in raising our next generation and embracing that strength to be the best parent, teacher, cheerleader and friend to my child.
What is the best part about being a mum?
Apart from all the cuddles and the pure joy that comes with motherhood, being a mum, especially a new mum, has reacquainted me with my world. It has put everything in life into perspective, where trivial tasks disappear and I’m left with only those tasks that help me move forward with a power I never knew I had.
What does Mother’s Day signify to you?
It’s one day where we can pause, reflect and recognise that the act of motherhood 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year are truly phenomenal acts of love, power and heroism.

What does being a mum mean to you?
It’s hard for me to put into words just how much being a mum means to me because it means the absolute world. I think the moment I became a mum I became the person I was always meant to be. I have this little person now who looks up to me who I care for and raise and that is just so special.
I have such a wonderful relationship with my own mum so being a mum myself now is like reliving all of those amazing moments in my life through her eyes.
What is the best part about being a mum?
The best part about being a mum is that she is always happy to see me. In the morning when I go to get her out of her cot she gives me a huge smile and I love being that person that she can always rely on.
